Tomorrow morning I am leaving for Spain. I’m going on a ten day clarinet course in Avila. It’s the first time I go out of the country without my parents. It’s also the first time I go on a plane. So I’m quite excited. And I’m also a bit frustrated about all the rules about luggage which the airplane company has. Fortunately my double clarinet case is small enough to take with me as cabin bagage. The weight for cabin bagage with this company is 10kg. So all my scores and my wallet fit in my case without exceeding the weight. Of course I had to take my screw drivers out, because according to the rules, I can hurt someone with them. I believe you can do more hurting with a fountain pen, but rules are rules.
But then there’s the check-in luggage, which can only be 15kg. I bought a new suitcase, because the other one was too small. But with all my stuff in it, it weighs about 1.5kg too much. So now I decided to leave by black shoes at home and play the choir concert with beige sandals. And I don’t take the batteryrecharger for my camera with me. And only one sweater for the evenings. Woohoo! My weighing machine tells me I’m 0.5kg beneath the maximum.
Now I’m ready to leave. In just 24 hours I will arrive in Madrid and hopefully have a great time. See you in 10 days!
